Del Aziz
Nestled amongst the bustling designer boutiques at Westfield, in Shepherd’s Bush, Del Aziz is the perfect place for post-shopping pick-me-ups. This stylish delicatessen and brasserie has a posh Middle Eastern marketplace vibe, and the piles of glossy fruit, chocolates and fresh pastries make Del Aziz a cosy spot to enjoy business breakfasts, mint tea breaks, leisurely lunches and candlelit dinner parties. With chunky wooden tables, fresh flowers and a buzzy crowd, the restaurant is run by dynamic husband and wife duo Shahrokh and Zehra Parvin and the hearty menu includes classics such as the spongy semolina Berber pancakes for breakfast served with honey and roasted almonds; the Israeli couscous salad for lunch; and the tuna burger with honey, harissa and sumac.

Mamounia Lounge
Much care has been taken to decorate Mamounia Lounge in the luxurious style its upmarket clientele are accustomed to. In the evocative entrance lounge raw silk cushions colourfully line plush, low-level seating, and dimmed lighting, candles, incense and black and white photos of Berber people create a very warm space for chic laidback lunches and exotic evenings where beautiful belly dancers move rhythmically to intoxicating Arabic music. The equally comfortable restaurant below serves traditional Moroccan, Lebanese and Mediterranean (with an emphasis on French, the nationality of the head chef) meals such tagines, fattoush and pan-fried duck. An interesting range of fusion dishes satisfies those in search of something new. If the generous portions make you want to skip dessert, suck on a shisha pipe in the upstairs bar instead.

Maramia Café
The first restaurant of its kind in the UK, London’s Maramia Café is inspired by the fresh, healthy and flavourful food of the Palestinian region of the Middle East. With its warm welcome, efficient service and simply delicious Mediterranean food, it’s not difficult to see why the Maramia Café is a favourite not just with your average Notting Hill-ite, but also with the likes of television newsreader Jon Snow and none other than our very own premier David Cameron and wife Samantha who have been spotted relaxing over Sunday brunch here. The Maramia menu ranges straight from delicious sandwiches stuffed with typically Eastern ingredients to mezze and heartier main dishes all cooked to traditional Palestinian recipes.
