Blue Smoke
There’s something about Kensington Close Hotel and Spa’s Blue Smoke. Carefully reminiscent of an old school 1950s restaurant, you’ll be catapulted back to another place and another era – one in which Frank, Sammy, Deano and the crew gather round their favourite table, in which restauranteurs know everybody by first name and patrons are glamorous even on a chilled out Tuesday night. Blue Smoke, decorated in sky blue and creamy white punctuated by arty black and white shots of America’s foremost 50s movers and shakers, is a typical American steakhouse celebrating the best in beef and the music of days gone by. As the sultry tones of the infamous Rat Pack seduce you you’ll be tempted by certified prime bef filet mignon, blackened flat iron steak and pan roasted Maryland crab cakes. Ain’t that a kick in the head?

Portman Corner Restaurant
Renowned throughout London, the Portman Corner Restaurant appeals not only to guests of the Radisson Blu but locals as well. Situated in chichi Marylebone, Portman Corner is clean and bright in its monochrome décor with an easy, laid back atmosphere appropriate to its hotel setting and a fabulous al fresco dining area. Service is of a high standard, obliging and friendly, while the food, including the vast Portman breakfast buffet, is raved about over the capital. Fusing international favourites, the Portman Corner kitchen concentrates on a very modern kind of cookery, yet dishes are pleasingly unassuming and without undue pretention. Accompanied by a bottle of wine from the varied list, dinner at Portman Corner promises a superb evening out.

Silk
The combination of Silk's classic courthouse setting and innovative Asian fusion cuisine has resulted in a high-concept dining experience not to be missed. The traditional oak-panelled room at the Courthouse Double Tree by Hilton – formerly the infamous Number One Courtroom where Oscar Wilde, Mick Jagger and John Lennon have stood trial - contrasts with the contemporary, cutting edge cooking and Silk's zen ambience, but helps creates a unique and cosy vibe. Head Chef Rajesh Parmar has created a menu inspired by the silk route, blending Italian, Asian and Middle Eastern influences. Signatures dishes include the scallops served in a delicately spiced ginger and coconut froth, and deep fried wing beans served with sweet chilli sauce.
