Angus Steak House
The Angus Steak House, in the very epicentre of London’s hectic Theatreland, is in the perfect spot when it comes to post-sightseeing or pre-theatre dining. Opened in 1976, the chain was London’s first branded restaurant and remains a firm favourite with both locals and tourists from elsewhere in the UK and abroad. Thoroughly modernised over the years, the Shaftesbury Avenue branch of Angus Steak House is strikingly decorated in eye-catching red – from the leather banquettes to the carpets, walls and even the menu bindings. As you may expect, the Angus Steak House menu is a carnivore’s dream with steaks, of course, of every shape and size on offer alongside decent non-meat offerings, tempting desserts and a good kids menu.

Gaucho
Spilling over with wow factor, Gaucho on London’s Charlotte Street is a jaw dropping restaurant in the very centre of the city. Bedecked in yard upon yard of cowhide, Gaucho is ultra contemporary while paying homage to its roots – that of, quite simply, a steakhouse. That’s not to say of course that there’s anything ‘merely’ about Gaucho, quite the opposite, this is a restaurant serving up spectacular steaks of the finest quality, fresh from the pampas of Argentina. And while the Gaucho steak is a thing to behold the rest of the menu, inspired by the bold flavours and bright colours of South America, is equally as eclectic and exciting as the surroundings in which it’s served.
