Zengi
Close to Aldgate East station and the Old Spitalfields Market, Zengi is a charismatic and colourful Turkish restaurant that is always filled with a hip east end crowd. Decorated with bare brick walls, neutral Middle Eastern textiles and jewel-coloured cushions, Zengi restaurant is spread out over two floors and a series of cosy alcoves are perfect for semi-private dining and dates. Live music is played on Saturday nights, and the anything-goes vibe adds to Zengi's chilled out appeal.
