Cah-Chi
Cah-chi Korean Restaurant in Earlsfield, London, is a fun and buzzy place for group dining. Located on Garratt Lane, Cah-chi has a bright green shop front and a slightly more subdued neutral interior with polished wooden floors, taupe walls and trendy wallpaper. The vibe here is down-to-earth, and we love the traditional table-barbecues which are fantastic for dinner parties. You can byo wine here for only £2.50 per bottle corkage, and the menu is filled with favourites such as the Man-du soup – a homemade pork and vegetable dumpling broth; the barbecued pork belly served with sesame oil and salt; and the fantastically named O-jing-o Dup-bab – fried calamari and vegetables in a spicy sauce served with rice.

Ceena
Situated mere baby steps from Fleet Street, Ceena is London’s first Korean fast food brand. Specialising in sizzling Korean food prepared in full view of the customer to order, Ceena is a delicious, authentic, environmentally friendly and surprisingly healthy alternative to traditional fast food restaurants and burger joints. With its fresh, bright décor and laid back ambience, the Ceena restaurant occupies a traditional corner building on St Bride Street where it makes the most of passing trade, making prior booking a must. Served in decomposable containers and made with seasonal ingredients sourced as locally as possible, Ceena’s sizzling dishes are served fresh off of the grill, garnished with the brand’s own trademark sauces and alongside traditional sides.

Dong San
Poland Street in Soho is famous for its bars, noodle kitchens and karaoke clubs – and Dong San at number 47 is a bijou Korean restaurant with a zen-like interior and authentic cuisine. The Korean barbecue dishes are popular, as are the noodles and the dumplings, and Dong San is a great place to meet for affordable pre-theatre dining and informal business lunches. Each dish is artfully presented and the staff here make a real effort to ensure your visit is a pleasant one – don't miss the king prawn tempura udon noodles in a hearty fish broth; the bulgogi beef barbecue marinated in sesame oil and soy sauce; and the soft dumplings in a rich, smoky soup.

Koba
An intriguing Eastern restaurant in amongst the boutiques and bars of trendy Fitzrovia, Koba is a very different dining prospect. The beautifully burnished tones of the trend-driven dining room give a luxuriant feel to a cuisine more usually associated with casual eating, the setting as suited to romantic dinners or business lunches as to eating with friends. Koba’s speciality of the Korean table BBQ gives eating out a spicy touch of drama with food cooked at your table – a real talking point. Additionally, a varied and comprehensive menu of Korean specialities offers a real change from the more usual Asian cuisines of China, Thailand and Japan.

Naru Restaurant
We love discovering a hidden local gem, and Naru in Shaftesbury Avenue is just that. Perfectly located for pre/post theatre meals and media schmoozing, this atmospheric hideaway will make you feel like you've stepped into a streetside diner in Seoul, rather than away from the bright lights and bustle of theatre-land. Dark and moody, lit with gorgeous paper-parcel lamps, the dining room is intimate and the food here is fresh, healthy and exquisitely presented. Star dishes include the yuk gye jang - spicy soup with shredded beef and vegetables; the o jing a bok kum - fried calamari and assorted vegetables sautéed in a spicy-honey sauce; and the green tea tiramisu.
