Named after its hospitable owner, this eatery attracts a buzzy West End crowd and is ideal for fun nights out with family and friends. Andreas is easily recognised by its lime green shopfront, and inside you'll find a lime coloured feature wall, wooden floors and chocolate brown leather seating, and the ground floor dining room boasts a cosy bar. Andy's Taverna
Andy’s Taverna restaurant in a corner of London that could be reasonably nicknamed Little Greek Cyprus is a charming, casual dining spot with all the cheer of the Greek islands. The white-fronted restaurant has classic blue awnings, while a subtler blue and white theme continues indoors to remind you of whitewashed Greek houses and the blue Aegean. This long-established restaurant is famous for its warm staff, pocket-friendly prices and generous portions. Sea bass and sea bream are flown in daily from Greece. The menu includes your favourite Greek breads and dips to start, main courses of grilled Aegean sea bass with potatoes and salad, and selections of classic Greek pastries for dessert. Apollo
A traditional Greek restaurant on London’s busy Seven Sisters Road, Apollo will appeal to anybody looking for a taste of sunshine on a bleak British evening. Warmly welcoming with smiling, friendly service from the all-Greek staff and a simple, unfussy décor, Apollo combines excellent food with a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere and, often, live entertainment with a traditionally Greek focus – singing, dancing, bouzouki playing with plenty of audience participation. The delicious Apollo menu is full of fresh, flavoursome Grecian dishes including charcoal brazier cooked kebabs, homemade dips and pitas to share with friends and, it goes without saying surely, stickily sweet honey-drenched baklava, all followed by a little ouzo.

Elysée
A London institution for around three quarters of a century, Fitzrovia’s Elysée Restaurant has provided an elite Greek dining experience since 1936. Still boasting all the classical elegance of the thirties, Elysée has nonetheless moved with the times, adding a sumptuous cocktail bar and glorious roof terrace with its own retractable roof to its already rather fabulous dining room and pretty garden area. Live jazz and Greek music until the wee hours takes Elysée beyond food, giving guests the opportunity to take their time over the kitchen’s superb traditional and modern Greek food before relaxing with a drink from the extensive list available in the chic, cool-toned bar space.
