Andalucia
This modern tapas restaurant just off Leicester Square brings a slice of Spanish warmth and positivity to the West End. Decorated in lots of glossy wood, with banquette seating strewn with colourful cushions against a mirrored wall, it feels uncluttered and relaxed; diners are never rushed to finish. Not that you’d want to hurry through such fresh, simple dishes as croquetas de pescado (fish croquettes), gambas al ajillo (King prawns in a garlic, chilli and wine sauce), and albondigas (meatballs in a red wine and tomato sauce). Recommended mains included paella Valenciana, and a delicious duck breast marinated with orange peel, juicy onions and potatoes.

Casa Brindisa
Casa Brindisa is a stylish Spanish restaurant that brings a little taste of London’s famous Borough markets to the museum lined streets of South Kensington. Famous for selling some of Spain’s finest imported food to the capital’s tapas lovers for years, Casa Brindisa is the Brindisa brand’s third restaurant since the company’s successful start in the markets. A chic, cavernous space with a bar, informal tapas area, its own ham carving counter and a dedicated restaurant with views of the open kitchen, Casa Brindisa is popular with South Kensington’s local art dealers, tourists and gourmands for after work drinks, Sunday paellas, business dates and romantic meals.

La Cuenta
Located on Wandsworth Bridge Road, just a stones throw from leafy Parsons Green, La Cuenta brings the best of Spain to south west London. With its vibrant red walls, wooden floors, and authentic Spanish artwork, the restaurant is a smart but laid-back space that is frequently filled with Fulham locals. The extensive menu offers something for everyone, including traditional tapas dishes like patatas bravas, Serrano ham croquettes, and delicious deep-fried courgettes with alioli. These are all great for sharing but if you’re looking for something more substantial, there are Spanish favourites like albondigas (meatballs in a red wine sauce) and seafood paella. The buzzing atmosphere and friendly service will tempt you back to La Cuenta again and again.

Ocaso Tapas Bar
For fun nights out in Wimbledon we highly recommend Ocaso Tapas Bar, a lively little joint on Haydon’s Road only seconds away from the overland station. Spanish in style, the restaurant has a rustic charm with burgundy walls, floorboards and chunky wooden tables and out the back you’ll find a chilled out summer garden perfect for Sunday afternoon sessions and shisha smoking. Whether you take a seat in the main dining room or the conservatory, the plentiful candles and Spanish music add to the cosy atmosphere at Ocaso. Specialties here include the mountainous paellas, Spanish potato omelettes, jugs of sangria and the patatas bravas fried in a spicy tomato sauce.

Rebato's
Rebato's has a style all its own, something like a classic Spanish dining club right here in London. At busy mealtimes, you'll hear a mixture of Spanish and English, both from the clientele and the staff. At the front of house, there's a buzzing tapas bar -- one of the first in the capital, while beyond lies the dining room proper, with old-style grandeur: tiled floor, plants, and skylights. Favourite dishes almost always include the fish of the day, and the roast suckling pig. There's a massive choice of appetizers to tempt you, as well as the interesting wine list. Great service, too.
