101 Pimlico Road 101 Pimlico Road restaurant has a perfect London location on the invisible line where Belgravia joins Chelsea, a short and very pleasant stroll from Sloane Square. This casually elegant restaurant is intimate in scale, with neutral décor and artwork and plenty of space between tables, making it a fine choice for business or romance. 101 Pimlico Road has the local tastebuds sussed - Head Chef Keith Goddard uses the freshest of seasonal ingredients to create a modern British menu of deceptive simplicity with hints of Mediterranean flavours. For instance, local favourite rose veal burger arrives with a slice of foie gras and a quail's egg. Chips are sprinkled with truffle oil - worth the price of admission alone. The fabulous steaks from O'Shea's of Knightsbridge are hung for 44 days before Goddard sears them to perfection. The young, enthusiastic wait staff at 101 Pimlico Road makes every meal a pleasure. 11 Park Walk Restaurant Southwest Londoners may recognise the name 11 Park Walk as the former address of high-end French restaurant Aubergine. It's no coincidence that Elleven Park Walk has opened on the site just off Chelsea's bustling Fulham Road – it's a fellow restaurant from the London Fine Dining Group stable (also home to Aubergine's country outpost, Alloro and Ken Lo's Memories of China amongst others). Elleven Park Walk is a self-proclaimed neighbourhood Italian restaurant; it's open all day, and customers will feel equally at home popping in for a quick bowl of pasta, or settling down for a leisurely dinner and a special bottle of wine. The food is high end Italian, specialising in regional and seasonal cuisine. A typical meal has the potential to take you on a trip around Italy, starting with Sicilian caponata, moving on to malloreddus (Sardinian semolina pasta) and finishing with a polenta dish from northern Italy. 55 Restaurant @ Chelsea Football Club Much like the team who play in the stadium in which the 55 Restaurant sits, many millions of pounds has been spent on refurbishing this urban chic restaurant, certainly one of the places to be seen in Chelsea. And again, like the team, the restaurant offers a glamorous menu drawing on innovative influences from England and the continent, though for those preferring a more classic dining experience; the a la carte menu will more than suffice. Open on match days for lunches, and on all days for breakfasts and dinners, the menu of the day offers special treats from specially sourced seasonal ingredients. Adulis A laidback yet elegant haven from the incessant traffic of Brixton Road, Adulis offers traditional Eritrean food. Instruments, artefacts, and images of heroes and heroines from the horn of Africa combine to create an unique environment in which to explore a modest range of aromatic meaty dishes such as kulwa, which is lamb fried in ghee, onion and green chilli. Everything comes with enjera (freshly baked leavened bread) or rice. From a generous list of vegetarian options, how about the misnamed foul - a tasty mix of broad beans, onions and olives, served with cottage cheese, tomatoes and butter?
