Busaba Eathai
What a thought! Take over the private room as Busaba Eathai with your mates, enjoy some of the tastiest Thai cuisine in the capital, drink deeply, laugh long, and remember the evening forever. You may know Busaba Eathai as a great place for a quick lunch or pre-bar supper, or even as a speedy snack stop, but when you plan your party, stag or hen night, Christmas do, or even business meal here, you lose the need for speed and get to slow down and really enjoy the food. The noodle dishes are popular, of course, and we can recommend the Mussaman duck curry, the Thai calamari and prawns with peanuts in betel leaves. The wines are good and modestly priced, for the most part, and the staff keep the dishes coming.

Thai Square
Thai Square The Strand is the eldest of ten popular siblings. Born in 1997, it's purpose in life is to serve tasty, competitively priced Thai food in attractive Thai-style surroundings. Needless to say, in this it consistently succeeds. Bare wooden floors, simple wood seating and good lighting create a pleasingly modern minimalist look, interrupted by hand-crafted Thai artefacts. A flagship restaurant like this deserves a top head chef. Step forward Mr Ngam-Arom from a top hotel in Thailand whose pad thai, green curry, and chicken with cashew nuts are so good that people come back for them time and again. Charming, attentive staff. A good place to meet before or after the theatre.

Thai Square
Located on Shaftesbury Avenue in the heart of London's West End, Thai Square is a stylish and unique restaurant offering fantastic Thai cuisine. The dining room at Thai Square, which is open until midnight during the week and until 2am Fridays and Saturdays, has a sophisticated bar area opening onto a vaulted, naturally-lit dining room of great style, with granite floors, red and white walls and an imposing golden statue of Buddha – giving the restaurant an uptown ambience. Thai Square also has a small courtyard. Popular for business meetings, Thai Square has an upmarket Thai menu featuring dishes like the grilled lobster with garlic butter, the sea bass rolls served with curry, and the tom kha pla soup – a coconut milk based soup with fish and lemongrass. Thai Square’s wine list is impressive, and the service is superb enough to get you to the theatre on time.

Thai Square at the Wig & Pen
Despite its tourist central address and super-restaurant status, Thai Square in the Strand is renowned for its fantastically fresh and authentic Thai cuisine. Crafted from ingredients flown in daily from Asia by Thai chefs, the menu – which features over 1000+ dishes – is filled with flavourful treats, and this West End location is ideal for pre-theatre meals and post-shopping get-togethers. We love the ornate wall carvings, fresh flowers and Buddha-tastic statues. Don't miss the phed sub pla rod stir-fried sizzling duck with cashews, roasted chillies and pineapple; the tom yum goong soup with spicy prawns, lemon grass and lime leaves; and the gang mussaman chicken curry with coconut milk, nuts and potatoes.
