Prism Brasserie and Bar
Harvey Nichols understand the importance of location, and they’ve bagged a sensation for Prism Brasserie and Bar. The stunning high ceiling and classical columns of the former Bank of New York on Leadenhall Street have been revamped by famous architects Liftschutz Davidson to create an elegant light-filled restaurant that oozes the glamour and power of the 1920s financial world. Furniture and fittings are very Harvey Nichols - classic Mies van Rohe 1930 ‘Bruno’ chairs in brilliant red leather, American walnut waiter stations, and bespoke serving trolleys and wine coolers. The kitchen produces very good modern dishes praised for their variety, particularly for vegetarians. By night the dining room turns into a sophisticated lounge cocktail bar buzzing with expensively-attired City folk.

The extensive drinks menu features vintage and non-vintage bottles, which start at £11.50 for a glass of Veuve Delaroy and ascend to dizzying heights. The concise food menu features light and sophisticated dishes like seared peppered tuna and radish salad; seared scallops with slow-cooked bacon and pea veloute; and a deliciously creamy artichoke, truffle and herb risotto.
