Crusting Pipe Locations don't come much more impressive than that belonging to the oddly named Crusting Pipe, situated on the ground level of the famous Covent Garden market hall. With its Dickensian moniker it will come as no surprise to learn that the Crusting Pipe is a Victorian style venue, however you're more likely to find well turned out theatre goers at the tables than Fagin and Magwitch types. Light and airy, boasting a large outdoor seating area from which views of the market can be enjoyed along with your glass of wine from the vast list of good value Davy's house wines, or indeed your vintage port - after all it is the Crusting Pipe's speciality. An excellent range of traditional grill-style food is offered too, making the Crusting Pipe a pre-theatre favourite. Cuisine: British Location: 27 The Market, Covent Garden, WC2E 8RD [Map] |

Davy's at Woolgate A short meander from Bank and Moorgate, Davy’s at Woolgate Bar and Brasserie is among the preferred restaurants of selective city folk. Part of a tried and trusted brand, this branch of Davy’s follows the well trodden wine path, providing its visitors with a journey through the world of the vine through a collection of carefully selected bottles from the professionals of the celebrated and historic wine merchants company. Sleek and elegant with a slightly masculine décor, Davy’s at Woolgate is very much in keeping with the local area, providing the perfect setting for business lunches and after work wind downs. A vast terrace provides a rare opportunity for al fresco dining in the Square Mile, making it even more imperative to book ahead during the summer months. Though Davy’s is very much centred around wine, the food menu certainly hasn’t been neglected, the kitchen offering a varied and enticing selection of brasserie and pub style dishes including well done international dishes and glorious steaks, burgers and roasts. Breakfasts are equally tempting, accompanied by high quality freshly ground coffees. Cuisine: British Location: 25 Basinghall Street, London, EC2V 5HA [Map] |

deVille Restaurant The deVille restaurant, part of the stunning Mandeville Hotel in London’s ever-fashionable Marylebone area, occupies a space at the very top of the capital’s hot list. Combining regal elegance with contemporary grand design, deVille, much like its next door sister bar deVigne, is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail – eye catching patterned wallpaper, graceful furnishings and gleaming glassware and cutlery prove that deVille is all about the attention to detail. Boasting two well deserved AA rosettes, deVille’s kitchen specialises in modern British dishes, created with a passion for locally sourced, seasonal produce.
