The Dining Room at Rendezvous Mayfair
Situated on Old Park Lane, Rendezvous Mayfair is a real touch of old school glamour brought right in to the 21st Century. With its glamorous casino and chic restaurant, Rendezvous would no doubt feel as at home in Monte Carlo or Las Vegas as it does here in the well heeled end of London. Lit by dimmed spotlights, Rendezvous’s restaurant is plush and elegant, reminiscent of hotel dining rooms of days gone by. Comfortable seating and soft carpets are richly patterned while tables are draped in crisp, blindingly white linen, each overlooking the casino floor. Taking diners on a visit to the Mediterranean and Middle East, Rendezvous’s menu is impressively luxurious with dishes including lobster thermidore and braised ox cheek an indication of the high level of dining you’ll find here.

The Driver
This boutique gastro kitchen is a haven of chic homeliness amongst the hustle and bustle of London's Kings Cross. Located on Wharfdale Street, The Driver is part Manhattan loft, part British boozer with its open fires, reclaimed furniture and cherry red leather sofas - and the restaurant attracts a trendy crowd of both locals and city commuters who fancy a hearty lunch or a cosy evening meal. The restaurant features an exquisite vertical garden designed by Patrick Blanc, and the venue also has a roof terrace with picturesque views of the capital. The international menu has a distinct Brit twist, and we love the basil and watermelon Caiprinias; the salmon and cod fishcakes with shoestring fries; and the wild berry cheesecake.

The Modern Pantry
Housed in two elegant Georgian buildings in London’s St John’s Square, just off Clerkenwell Road, The Modern Pantry restaurant has become a firm favourite with the area’s fashionable foodies and local City types. The Modern Pantry’s relaxed all-day dining experience was created by Anna Hansen who found fame working at The Providores with Peter Gordon, so it’s no surprise to find innovative international cuisine and global wine list on offer here. The ground floor café is a bright and modern space, ideal for breakfast or brunch, while the stylish upstairs restaurant is divided into two airy and contemporary dining rooms overlooking the square. Popular dishes include the grilled miso-marinated onglette steak with cassava chips, chermoula baked sea bass with quinoa, and the unique and delicious kaffir lime meringue with vanilla mascarpone. Hansen’s culinary philosophy is driven by a desire to please and to excite the palate. The Modern Pantry succeeds on both counts.
