Eating Disorders Dietician
An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Eating Disorders Dietician to join an exceptional hospital service based in the Springfield, Essex area. As an Eating Disorders Dietician you will be working with one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing high standards of treatment for a diverse range of mental health difficulties including addictions, depression, anxiety, and stress. They are also able to provide high quality therapy to individuals struggling with gender issues, low self-esteem, and those struggling with a diagnosis of HIV.
As an Eating Disorders Dietician your day to day duties include:
Weight management
Conducting comprehensive dietetic assessments
Other eating disorder behaviour e.g. purging, use of laxatives and diuretics
Activity level and exercise
Motivation to change and service users aims of treatment
Dietetic care plans advising staff on treatment
Nutritional education
Liaison with onsite catering department regarding nutritionally appropriate menus
Quality improvement projects to prevent and manage unhealthy weight gain, overweight, obesity and metabolic syndrome in service users some of whom will be taking antipsychotic medication.
An ideal Eating Disorders Dietician must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:
Open, compassionate, honest & resilient
Have a BSc degree in nutrition and dietetics/ Or relevant postgraduate course
Experienced Dietitian with HCPC Registration
Capable to maintain documentation
Helping to empower & support service user independence
Experience in a mental health setting and preferably have worked with eating disorder patients
The successful Eating Disorders Dietician will be offered an excellent salary of £29,000-£33,000 per annum. This exciting position is for 37.5 hours a week on full time. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
