Senior Physiotherapist - Paediatrics

**To be considered for this position you must hold a HCPC Registration**

As the Senior Physiotherapist your key responsibilities include:
• Participate in discharge planning and liaise with external agencies to ensure a discharge that is safe and supportive of the patient’s ongoing care and rehabilitation needs
• Respect a patient’s right to be chaperoned and appropriately implement the Hospital chaperone policy
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient treatment records and reports in line with local and national requirements for best management of the patient
• Manager clinical risks within your caseload at all times and ensure potential clinical risk is effectively communicated and managed
• Promote dignity, privacy, and safety always, with consideration of the patient’s cultural, spiritual, and personal needs and preferences
• Be aware of the limitations of your own clinical practice/experience and seek support appropriately
• Responsible for the ethical, safe, and competent recommendation and provision of therapy equipment within your scope
• To keep abreast of the latest evidence within your specialty to maintain best clinical practise
• Participate actively in the departmental in-service training programmes and opportunities within the Hospital

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
• Proven experience in neurodevelopment and neurology and/or paediatric MSK and orthopaedics Knowledge of paediatric outcome measures and standardised assessments
• Knowledge of specialist equipment appropriate to paediatric physiotherapy
• Assertive, articulate and polite
• Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Interest in personal development & updating skills

The successful Senior Physiotherapist will receive an excellent salary of £44,500 - £48,613 per annum. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
