Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner
A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Warrington, Greater Manchester area. As a PBS Practitioner you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This special hospital provides specialised services for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Deaf Mental Health problems, with a layout that enables you to deliver care within a low stimulus, spacious environment
As a PBS Practitioner your key responsibilities include:
To conduct behavioural assessments, including functional analyses, and provide interpretations of the results.
To formulate and implement behavioural interventions. To effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods.
To support MDTs to produce PBS plans in accordance with good practice guidance in this area.
To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and intervention with clients working alongside other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team.
To maintain good working relationships with members of the multi-disciplinary teams and ensure effective communication through good verbal communication skills and the production of professional reports.
To participate in multi-disciplinary meetings concerned with the delivery of patient care as required.
To maintain appropriate links with professional colleagues in the service and other relevant settings.
An ideal PBS Practitioner must have these skills and experience as they are beneficial for this position:
Has well developed professional boundaries
Work to a high standard of direct practice with an explicit anti-discriminatory value base
Minimum of 1 years experience post qualified
Experience of working in a hospital setting
Experience of working in a secure setting
Experience of applying Care Programme Approach
Experience of multi-disciplinary working
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent self-presentation
Good knowledge of PBS theory/practice
The successful PBS Practitioner will receive an excellent annual salary from £35,000 - £45,000 DOE. This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
