Explore the waterways of London on this full-day bike tour with an expert guide. Riding along the south side of the River Thames, pass the iconic Globe Theatre where Shakespeare’s plays are still performed. Then, go by Tower Bridge and the London Docks, leaving the riverside for Hackney and Camden via Regent’s Canal.
This winding, peaceful path almost completely encircles Central London and the West End. Stopping along the way, your guide will tell you how the city’s waterways were the lifeblood of the Industrial Revolution and 19th-century “old London town.”
Next, bypass the traffic along the canal as you head toward the lively Camden Market. Here, enjoy a bit of free time for bargain hunting as you stroll among more than 1,000 retail shops and stalls, or purchase lunch (own expense) from a variety of street food stands representing countries all over the world. After your break, get back on your bike and continue along the canal path with your small group, passing the London Zoo toward Little Venice and the greenery of Hyde Park. Next, whiz along The Mall, a long road leading to Buckingham Palace, and finally to Westminster Abbey, the Royal Church of England.
